Implementing a Multimedia Content Development Strategy in Open Schooling: The Experience of the Namibian College of Open Learning

The purpose of this guide is two-fold. Principally, on request of the Commonwealth of Learning
it is designed as a model to aid open schools in the process of implementing a multimedia
content development strategy. While the NAMCOL/COL project took on a specific shape based
on NAMCOL?s internal needs and objectives, it did derive strategies that can be transferred
more broadly. The second purpose is to record the process that occurred during the implementation of the
project. A perusal of Chapter 2 might make the deployment of a video-based multimedia
content development strategy appear smooth. This perception would be far from the truth!
