The Open University of Tanzania (OUT) is proud to have a detailed and current Open Educational Resources (OER) Policy. The policy is designed to significantly contribute towards making OUT a leading world class University in the delivery of affordable quality education through Open and Distance Learning mode.

We highlight the Siyaphumelela - We Succeed - Programme launch, which is a regionally-learning analytics initiative aimed at improving student retention and success in higher education. We discuss key issues that are emerging from our experience in our African Storybook Project. Through our OER Africa project we report on our OER experience with the Open University of Tanzania, and lastly on workshops that we held with the National Open University of Nigeria on quality assurance.
