African Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics (AfJARE) The African Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics (AfJARE) is published by the African Association of Agricultural Economists (AAAE). The journal aims to publish original research about how African agriculture interacts with local and global economic systems and policy regimes in its impacts upon people. The scope of the journal covers the roles of markets, technology, policy, institutions and the natural environment in shaping the lives and wellbeing of Africans engaged in agricultural activities. The journal strives to nurture and enhance the capacity of African professionals to conduct and publish scientific research and provides a venue for communicating and disseminating their findings.
African Crop Science Journal The African Crop Science Journal, the quarterly publication of the African Crop Science Society, publishes original research papers dealing with all aspects of crop agronomy, production, genetics and breeding, germplasm, crop protection, post-harvest systems and utilization, agro-forestry, crop-animal interactions, information science, environmental science, and soil science.

Academic Journals, which was founded in 2002, publishes open access journals. It provides free and open access to research information to the international community without financial, legal, or technical barriers. African Journal of Food, Agriculture, Nutrition, and Development AJFAND is a quarterly journal published in Kenya by the Rural Outreach Program. In addition to publishing quality and locally relevant research information, the journal aims to increase the capacity of decision making--for policy makers, NGOs, farmers--to formulate informed decisions.
Access to Global Online Research in Agriculture (AGORA) The AGORA program, set up by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) together with major publishers, enables developing countries to gain access to an outstanding digital library collection in the fields of food, agriculture, environmental science and related social sciences. AGORA provides a collection of 1278 journals to institutions in 107 countries. AGORA is designed to enhance the scholarship of the many thousands of students, faculty and researchers in agriculture and life sciences in the developing world.

Participatory Research and Development for Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resource Management

This three-volume sourcebook, which is published by IDRC, provides easy access to field-tested participatory research and development concepts and practices for practitioners, researchers, and academics. The sourcebook captures and examines PR&D experiences from over 30 countries, illustrating applications in sustainable crop and animal production, forest and watershed management, soil and water conservation, and postharvest and utilization. The entire sourcebook can be downloaded online, chapter-by-chapter.
